Something different from me -- words!
I recently discovered a great new author & wanted to share it with you.
Wicked Game by Jeri Smith-Ready is a fun read with a little bit of everything; humor, loads of wit, romance (!), suspense & vampires! Her characters are full and the universe she creates wonderful.



I like it so much, I immediately got the sequel Bad to the Bone & loved it too!



Another sequel is due out August 2010.

Her first book, Requiem for the Devil was fantastic, especially considering a first book can sometimes be difficult to get through. Jeri's take on Milton's idea of the Devil from Paradise Lost. I loved it.
She's got another series, a "romantic fantasy trilogy", Aspect of Crow, which I'll be starting tomorrow. (Have to finish Pride and Prejudice and Zombies first! Austen can be very difficult to get through, even with the zombie bits I find my mind wandering occasionally!)

The first day of Spring started here with some snow showers & then I saw this guy trotting through our neighbor's backyard and into our own. I grabbed my camera & he stopped about 10 feet from me while I took some photos before continuing on his way.
