She was busy watching the birds outside. Probably wishing she could be catching one! ;)

One bird and some flowers

Well, I didn't get to shoot many birds yesterday, but we did manage to find this Robin's nest in a tree. I only had one opportunity to catch her/him in the nest & got this!

I also got a Water Lily and a Dragonfly resting on the edge of a lily pad!

This morning

I woke up this morning to the call of a mourning dove -- at 4:45AM! So I decided to shoot birds today - with my camera, of course! ;)
But then I saw these clouds...

The Hudson River

Recently I went for a walk along a park in Nyack, NY and took some photos of the Tappan Zee Bridge and the Hudson River.

Felix with Attitude

Our oldest cat, Felix, is a great cat, but he doesn't take just anything from anyone! Here he is showing some of his attitude. ;)

This morning we have a perfectly clear blue sky, but the clouds are due to move in this evening bringing more snow. For now, it's perfect for some bird-watching. :) Some crows came into the area this morning.

A woodpecker stopped by for a suet breakfast.

Here's the cat who made the prints on the ice looking for a drink at the pond.

cat prints on the pond

There's a stray cat we call Ginger who seems to have adopted us. He can usually be found around our house. Of course it doesn't hurt that we put cat food out for him. He gets his water from our little pond. On the colder days like today, he'll try to step out onto the ice to get closer to the spot that's cleared of ice. I'm surprised that the ice holds his weight. Here's what I found this afternoon.

Shadows on the Ice

The snow has developed a crust of ice which glistens in the morning sun. Here is the shadow of a tree on the glistening snow.

I was thinking, I probably should have named this blog "Fun with Clouds" or something like that. LOL More and more lately, I find myself fascinated with clouds. Don't get me wrong, I love a clear blue sky on a bright sun-shining day, but clouds add interest. If we had clear, blue skies everyday, it'd be boring. You never see the same cloud formations every day, or even, usually, from hour to hour! So, here's more of my cloud observations. I hope you like them.

Feels Like Spring!

Even though it is a beautiful, Spring-feeling day, there was still some ice on the surface of the pond this morning. Here's a peek at some of the fish under the ice.

There were even icicles hanging off the roof of the house. They were gone by the end of the day though.

Still Snowy

Saturday evening. While the walk, driveway and streets are clear of snow, there's still snow on the trees!
